Where to celebrate Melbourne Cup on Hastings Street

Our favourite Tuesday of the year is just around the corner - The Melbourne Cup! We don't know about you, but the race that stops the nation is one of our favourite excuses for lunchtime bubbles and a midweek celebration.

This year there are plenty of events happening up and down our beachside strip, and we're here to help you find the best parties on Hastings Street.

All that's left to do is gather your most fun-loving friends and pick out your favourite frock.

Bistro C

Celebrating Melbourne Cup at Bistro C is a guaranteed good time. Sponsored by none other than Aperol, this beachside restaurant's lunchtime event includes a 4-course set menu, cocktail on arrival, live DJ and prizes by Veuve Clicquot and Husk. There will also be a fashion show, sweepstakes and of course, the live race.

Café Le Monde

Don’t miss out on one of the best Melbourne Cup Day events on the Sunshine Coast. With everything from a banquet menu and flowing drinks to live music, sweeps, fashions on the field, 3 big screens and more, Café Le Monde's party won't disappoint.

Miss Moneypenny's

For those looking for a stylish cup day without the formalities of a sit-down lunch, opt for Miss Moneypenny’s luxe Birdcage VIP Marquee. You'll enjoy a social afternoon in an outdoor setting, with three hours of roaming canapés, pizzas and oysters plus a complimentary drink on arrival. Tickets also come with fashion and lucky door prizes, sweeps, live entertainment and entry to the Miss Moneypenny’s after party.

Rococo Bistro Noosa

The annual Miss Rococo Contest is back for 2021, alongside celebrations at Rococo Bistro Noosa including cocktail on arrival and selected flavoured Dan Mojito, light food and canapés all day, fashion, sweeps and live entertainment. Even better, your tickets includes free entry to the infamous Rococo Jockey Club Marquee after party.

Sails Restaurant Noosa

Sails Restaurant's popular Melbourne Cup event is back for 2021. You will be greeted with a glass of champagne or cocktail as you arrive from the beachfront, then seated to enjoy a 4-course set menu. A live 2-piece band will be playing throughout the day, stopping for the race then lifting the tempo so you can hit the dance floor later on.
