Comfort meals on Hastings Street this Winter

As the sun starts to sleep in, and we can’t escape the crisp winter air, it’s time to indulge in some comfort meals. We’re talking red wine, espresso martinis, fresh pasta, pizza and tender steak in cosy restaurants, escaping the cool on the beautiful Hastings Street.

Locale Noosa

Located in a cosy pocket on the end of Hastings Street, Locale Noosa is surrounded by lush greenery, with dimly lit interior and candles for warm touches. Not only is their food the perfect complement to a winter’s day or evening, but it is also locally sourced and of the highest quality. Whether your preference is confit duck with quince and vincotto jus, grain fed Black Angus beef tenderloin or a selection of tagliatelle, ravioli, conchiglioni, risotto or gnocchi. The menu is your oyster (oh, they have plenty of those too). Their 27 page, specially curated wine list is the perfect addition to a slow evening at Locale Noosa. Their selection of Italian reds will blow your mind. If you’re not sucked in by wine, their cocktails are guaranteed to have the same effect with a different flavour. Our recommendation? The Coconut Margarita. With its roasted coconut rim, you'll be treated to island flavours, with a little bit of warmth.

El Capitano

Located down a fairy-lit alley and up the stairs from Hastings Street, you’ll find the cosy El Capitano. The pizzeria and bar is the perfect escape from the cool, serving up fresh, piping hot pizza’s on a sourdough base, topped with the freshest, locally sourced vegetables, meat and seafood. When you walk in you’ll be blown away by the atmosphere that sucks you in, and that excitement doesn’t stop when you get to the pizza and cocktails. Decked out with your classics tailored to perfection, and set apart by its variety, El Capitano has something for everyone with delicious vegan and gluten free options. Their cocktails are not run of the mill, but they are the perfect belly warmers on the cool days and nights. They've nailed it down to the non-alcoholic options too. You’d want to make sure you try The Stout Sailor cocktail before you head off, a combo of bourbon, Hennessy, stout syrup, aquafaba, lime, aztec bitters and nutmeg. You: 1, winter: 0.

Season Restaurant

For when you don’t want to escape the ocean views, but the cool isn’t tickling your fancy. Season is right on the beautiful shore of Noosa Main Beach. It’ll protect you from the cool breeze and treat you to some of the most outstanding comfort meals on Hastings Street. Open for lunch and dinner, they serve up your favourite seafood, lamb eye fillet and more. Food so good, you’ll forget about the weather. Don’t sleep on their Gingerbread Espresso Martini, you won’t find anything like it elsewhere. Made with gingerbread liqueur, a brown sugar rim and a Biscoff crumble, it's dessert with a kick. See you there?
